There will be a PBL 101 Summer Regional Conferences for educators, which will include keynote speakers, teacher presentations and feature an intensive three-day PBL 101 Workshop, PBLWorks’ foundational course in project-based learning. PBL Summer Regional Conferences will take place in all of Kentucky’s regions and online through partnerships with school districts and educational cooperatives. The training is free for Kentucky K-12 public school educators.
Each year, the National Museum of American History hosts a National Youth Summit to engage middle and high school students on different events in American history that relate to topics currently facing our country. This year, they explore the question “How do the stories we tell about our past shape our democracy?”
Smithsonian Learning Labs offer the opportunity to explore Smithsonian resources in the classroom or beyond. Explore Kentucky-related topics -- including collections created by KHS-- and much more!

Registration is now open for the Kentucky Derby Museum’s 37th annual Horsing Around with Art (HAWA) student art competition. HAWA is a juried competition where students can show their perspective of The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports®.
The KET Education Young Writers Contest is now taking submissions for 2023. The annual contest seeks to celebrate creativity through four categories of writing – Illustrated Story, Short Story, Poetry and Graphic Novels. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, March 31, 2023.
The Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE) will begin accepting applications for summer 2023 on Nov. 14. The deadline for submission is Jan. 23, 2023.

Andy Beshear today announced that incoming Kentucky high school seniors who have previously taken the ACT will be eligible to take the test a second time for free during a statewide ACT retake day in the Fall of 2022.
